What is the Cosmic Blessing
The Cosmic Blessing is a historic initiative by Rev. Sun Myung Moon and his wife, Hak Ja Han, who are together known to us as the True Parents. Together, they are working beyond borders, races and religions to unite all people into God’s family through the Cosmic Blessing.
The tradition began in 1960 with their own marriage, where they dedicated their marriage to God and the world. This became known as the Cosmic Blessing. Based on their lifelong commitment to a world of empowered families, the Cosmic Blessing has become a worldwide tradition where couples dedicate their marriage to a greater purpose and God. In response to the breakdown of traditional marriage, the Cosmic Blessing offers a path to build a world of stronger marriages and healthier families by bringing God, our Heavenly Parent, into the centre of it all.

What to expect at the Cosmic Blessing Ceremony?
The Blessing ceremony will be officiated by True Mother and includes:
Holy Water
The Blessed couples will be sprinkled by Holy Water from True Parents. This represents the rebirth or renewal of the husband and wife together as a Blessed couple.
Blessing Prayer
True Mother will offer a Blessing Prayer for all the newly Blessed Couples.
Vows
The couples will pledge together in front of True Parents and Heavenly Parent the following vow:
As families who must realize the Heavenly Parent’s ideal of creation, do you promise to become eternal couples who will inherit the tradition established by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind and to perfect ideal families who will strive to realize Cheon Il Guk?
Blessing declaration
At the end of the Blessing ceremony True Mother will officially declare all Couples as newly Blessed Couples in front of Heaven and Earth. This concludes the Blessing Ceremony.
Ring Ceremony
The bride and groom exchange blessing rings. The ring is custom made and designed by True Parents.
