Support Network
The BFD has a strong support network and strives to support all Blessed families in their daily lives, in their relationship to their children or parents, and as a couple.
Grief Counseling
Grief counseling is a specialized form of therapy designed to support individuals coping with the loss of a loved one. Through empathetic listening and therapeutic techniques, grief counselors help individuals navigate the complex emotions of grief, providing a safe space to express feelings, process the loss, and develop healthy coping strategies. The goal is to facilitate healing and adjustment to life after loss.
Margoth Tove Kalstad
I have worked as a volunteer grief group facilitator since 2012 in the The Franciscan Help. Where I held grief groups, I worked with people of all ages. People that have lost their spouse, siblings, children and friends.
Loss is not something you can get over or fix, but you can learn to live with loss. How people integrate loss is different for every person, there is not one right way to grieve. To learn about and normalise all emotions connected to loss is important, as well as being able to talk about one’s loss and slowly learn to integrate loss and rebuild a meaningful existence after losing a loved one.
I have trained and studied about loss and have years of experience on how to support people in grief.
I also want offer training and support to members that are interested in being a grief supporter.
