Recommended topics for the initial 21-Day Communication Period

Below are some guidelines and suggested topics to help 2nd+ Gen Candidates navigate their initial 21-Day Communication period:

We recommend you to meet regularly to talk together for at least 3 weeks.

This is how you could organize your meetings:

• Schedule ahead and decide how you will meet and communicate. To keep it simple we suggest to meet at the same time on certain days;

• Dedicate each meeting to a certain topic and share based on that topic;

• Start and end the meeting with a prayer to prepare your heart and invite Heavenly Parent;

• During meetings: take turns, listen with care, let the other know you have heard what they said, ask questions, be respectful;

• Decide together which topic you wish to share about next time;

• Pray to see God’s viewpoint for your future with this person. Support each other;

• Be prepared: there might be difficulties and challenges while communicating – we are not perfect;

• After 21 days, pray and offer your decision to God to continue or stop the communication. Report this to your parents or Matching Supporter.
